Nine years of showing up

The story of a trust that started with three volunteers and a shared meal, and grew into a movement without losing that instinct.

How We Started

A trust built by people, not a plan

In 2016, a small group of friends in Bengaluru began cooking extra meals on weekends and driving them to families sleeping under a flyover near Indiranagar. There was no five-year plan — just a habit that grew.

Word spread. More hands joined. Within two years the group had registered formally as Apna Sansaar Charitable Trust, and the work had grown from meals to tutoring, from tutoring to health camps, and from health camps to a permanent presence in over 80 communities.

What hasn't changed is the way decisions get made: someone from the community tells us what's needed, and we go find a way to provide it — not the other way around.

Our Values

What guides every decision we make

Compassion First

Every decision starts with the person in front of us, not a policy document.

Radical Transparency

Every rupee is accounted for and our audited reports are public, always.

Community-Led

We design programs with the families we serve, never in isolation from them.

Long-Term Commitment

We stay with a community until it no longer needs us there — that's the actual goal.
